• Prior to moving to Austin, practiced for many years in independent practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado

• 25+ years of extensive experience as a psychotherapist/ consultant, assessing, evaluating and treating a wide variety of issues and problems

• 10 years of experience with leadership training and executive/personal coaching (Center for Creative Leadership – consistently named #1 in Leadership Training in the U.S. by BusinessWeek Magazine.) Provide individual executive coaching, focused on helping leaders understand themselves, the effects of their behavior on others, and specific ways to make changes that they want to make

• Extensive crisis intervention experience and trauma reduction work

• Critical Incident Stress Debriefer for firefighters, police, emergency rescue and medical personnel following traumatic events such as multiple casualty disasters, the death of a co-worker, or fatalities involving children

• Wide variety of strong experience in inpatient (psychiatric unit, ER, general hospital, and residential treatment center); outpatient community mental health, university counseling centers, and independent practice.

• As clinical director of a community mental health center, was responsible for legal/ethical decision-making; coordinated a federal grant to provide counseling to survivors of a disaster (flood), and served as 24 hour consultant for emergency services staff

• Previously licensed as psychologist in Iowa, Virginia, and Colorado

• Ph.D. from Michigan State University (1981)
